Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 17, 2026 • Publication Notice: Official Legal Draft for TimerDaddy.com

Notice: This Privacy Policy outlines how TimerDaddy.com ("we", "our", or "the Website") collects, processes, and protects information when you access our free online timer toolkit, downloadable utilities, and web services.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

TimerDaddy is architected on a privacy-by-design philosophy. The core timing and productivity tools (including our Online Timer, Countdown, Stopwatch, Pomodoro, Classroom Timer, Interval Timer, and Study Timer) execute exclusively within your local web browser environment.

  • We do not require user account registration, passwords, or profile creation.
  • We do not collect names, phone numbers, postal addresses, or payment card information to use any timer.
  • We do not record or monitor your individual timer tasks, study notes, or lap records on our central servers.

2. Browser Local Storage and Client-Side Preferences

To deliver a seamless, personalized user experience across repeat visits, TimerDaddy stores non-identifying user interface preferences directly on your own device using modern HTML5 Web Storage (localStorage). These stored keys include:

  • timerdaddy_theme: Records your preference for Light Mode or Dark Mode.
  • timerdaddy_muted: Records your preference for audio chimes or silent operation.
  • Temporary session parameters such as your most recently selected timer durations.

This data remains strictly on your local device and is never transmitted to or processed by our web servers. You can clear these stored preferences at any time through your browser's "Clear Browsing Data" or "Cookies and Site Data" settings.

3. Web Server Access Logs

Like virtually all standard web hosting environments, our hosting servers (operated through Bluehost / standard Apache infrastructure) automatically record standard technical server access log entries when pages are requested. These logs may include:

  • Your Internet Protocol (IP) address.
  • Browser user-agent string and operating system version.
  • The specific page or asset requested and referral URL.
  • Date and time of the request, HTTP status code, and bytes transferred.

Server log data is utilized strictly for system administration, detecting denial-of-service attempts, preventing malicious bot exploitation, and maintaining server stability. These logs are routinely rotated and purged in accordance with standard hosting retention policies.

4. Contact Form Inquiries

If you voluntarily submit an inquiry through our Contact Us page, we process the information you provide (your name, email address, message subject, and message text). This information is utilized solely to read, investigate, and respond directly to your communication. We do not sell, rent, or lease contact inquiry details to third-party marketing companies.

5. Third-Party Advertising and Google AdSense

To maintain TimerDaddy as a 100% free resource for students, teachers, and professionals worldwide, we may display non-intrusive advertisements served by third-party advertising networks, such as Google AdSense.

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

6. Web Analytics

We may utilize aggregated, privacy-conscious web analytics tools (such as Google Analytics 4) to monitor general website traffic trends, popular timer features, and technical browser compatibility. When configured, IP anonymization is enforced, and analytics data is viewed exclusively in aggregated summary form (such as total monthly visitors or bounce rates) without identifying individual persons.

7. Standalone Downloaded HTML Timers

When you generate and save an offline timer via our Download HTML Timer page, the generated .html file is completely self-contained. The downloaded file contains zero remote trackers, makes zero network connections, and operates 100% offline. No telemetry of any kind is transmitted when you use a downloaded TimerDaddy file.

8. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA/CPRA Disclosures)

Depending on your geographical jurisdiction (including the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and the State of California), you may possess specific legal rights regarding personal data, including the right to request access to or deletion of communications you have sent us.

Because TimerDaddy does not maintain user accounts or personal profiles, the vast majority of user interactions leave zero identifiable footprints on our servers. For any inquiries regarding server log retention or contact message deletion, please contact us via our Contact page.

9. Updates to This Policy

We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect technical enhancements, hosting infrastructure updates, or regulatory obligations. The revised version will always be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
